These terms govern your use of Anima. They're written to be readable, not theatrical — please skim them. Using the app means you accept what's below.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use Anima. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

Your account

You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping the device that's signed in physically secure. If you lose your device or suspect someone else has access, sign out of all sessions in your Apple/Google account settings and contact us.

Subscriptions and billing

Anima offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription billed through Apple's StoreKit. Pricing, currency, and renewal terms are shown on the paywall before you confirm. You're agreeing to:

  • Auto-renewal — the subscription renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date.
  • Trial behaviour — if you receive a free trial, the first paid period begins automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel during the trial.
  • Refunds — refund requests are handled directly by Apple. We can't process refunds on Apple's behalf, but we'll happily help you reach out.
  • Price changes — we'll notify you in-app before any price increase takes effect; you can cancel before the new price applies.

Acceptable use

Anima is meant for personal, non-commercial use. Don't:

  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the app.
  • Upload content that's illegal in your jurisdiction or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Use Anima to harass, threaten, or impersonate another person.
  • Try to bypass paywalls, abuse free trials, or exploit bugs to access premium features.

Not medical or therapeutic advice

Anima is a personal-wellness companion, not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical, psychological, or sexual-health advice. Cycle predictions, mood interpretations, AI insights, and breathwork suggestions are educational and reflective — not clinical. If you have a health concern, please talk to a qualified professional.

AI features

Anima uses third-party AI models for some optional features (dream reflection, weekly letters, mood insights). AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unintentionally biased. Treat it as a starting point for your own reflection, never as an authority. Don't input information you wouldn't want shared with the model provider.

Your content

You retain ownership of everything you write or record in Anima. By using the app you grant us a limited, revocable licence to store and display your content back to you and to process it through the third parties listed in our Privacy Policy, strictly to operate the features you use.

Service availability

We try to keep Anima available 24/7 but can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may pause or modify features for maintenance, security, or product reasons. Where reasonable, we'll give notice.

Termination

You can stop using Anima at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used abusively, fraudulently, or unlawfully.

Disclaimers and liability

Anima is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Anima is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use Anima after the effective date means you accept the updated terms; if you don't agree, please delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Anima's operating entity is established. Disputes that can't be resolved by writing to support@anima-health-app.com will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
